  • Director of Business Development

    Position Summary:

    The primary role of the Director, Business Development is generating, qualifying and closing new business for JSS and focusing on strategic partnerships with organizations having complimentary value propositions and interests. The Director of Business Development will assess and cultivate partnership opportunities, build business cases, negotiate deals and create new revenue channels for JSS. Identify, define and analyze critical strategic and new business development opportunities for JSS. Create compelling, persuasive presentation materials to communicate outcomes and recommendations. Think and act strategically while managing flawless execution of all Business Development objectives.

    Ideal Experience:

    The ideal candidate for the Director, Business Development position at JSS will have:

    • MBA and 10+ years experience in new business development
    • Strategic and creative thinking skills, a collaborative work style and a strong track record of prospecting and closing new business
    • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects at any one time
    • Strong knowledge of P&L process with solid financial skills
    • Outstanding negotiation skills; including contract negotiation

  • Security Test Engineer

    ****MUST HAVE CURRENT TOP SECRET CLEARANCE****

    JSS, Inc. currently has a need for MULITPLE Security Test Engineers to support our FBI Contract in Washington, DC. The following is a list of qualifications and skill set preferences:

    Position Requirements:

    • CISSP, GCIH, GPEN, or GWAPT
    • Top Secret Clearance
    • Travel to local (Quantico/CJIS) FBI locations (10-20%)

    Work Description: All Security Assessment Team (SAT) members shall follow the FBI’s C&A Handbook and SAT SOPs when delivering SAT services. SAT members are expected to suggest improvements and work with Government personnel to document changes to SAT SOPs following the change management process. Candidate will provide information system security testing (i.e., Security Test and Evaluation (ST&E) and/or Certification Test and Evaluation (CT&E)) for initial accreditation, re-accreditation, continuous monitoring and remedial actions required to comply with accreditation (information systems accredited with a lien). Techniques used in the CT&E and ST&E may include Gold Disk scan, System Readiness Review (SRR), penetration testing, network vulnerability scans, source code scan, web application scan, or a manual check of each of the security controls using the security guides. This includes, but is not limited to, performing all required information system security certification tasks during definition/concept; development; installation, checkout and verification; penetration testing; and operations and maintenance phases for new or legacy information systems in accordance with the FBI Certification and Accreditation Handbook.

    The candidate shall develop penetration test plans, conduct penetration testing and prepare penetration testing reports for Tier 3-5 new or legacy information systems in accordance with the FBI’s C&A Handbook, per government provided schedule. The candidate shall develop documentation that is required for all types of testing in accordance with the FBI regulations and the SAT SOPs. This will be done for all systems required by the government.

  • Sr. Security Analyst

    ****MUST HAVE CURRENT TOP SECRET CLEARANCE****

    JSS is seeking a Sr. Security Analyst for a Federal Client located in the Washington DC Metro.

    The Sr. Security Analyst will work with the Network Engineers to ensure that security requirements are incorporated throughout each project life cycle for existing and new ventures. This position plays a very key role in meeting mission objectives. In this position, the Sr. Security Analyst must interface with government, high level officials, and contractors on a daily basis, working with the government ISSM and ISSO to ensure that new systems are built according to the security requirements, perform vulnerability assessments using tools such as, Nessus, WebInspect, AppDetective, LanGuard, etc., and ensure that existing systems receive the security upgrades necessary to remain compliant. The Sr. Security Analyst will work with the ISSO to ensure that certification and accreditation documentation is updated to reflect the current system environment.

    Additionally, the Sr. Security Analyst must have solid personal, technical and networking knowledge as this individual will be asked to provide security guidance on most IT projects. The position requires a Top Secret clearance, a degree and at least 7+ years of experience.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelors degree required
    • 3-5 years technical experience and 5-10 years INFOSEC experience
    • Certification and Accreditation experience
    • C&A experience preferred
    • Systems Engineering experience preferred
    • Excellent oral and written communications
    • Top Secret Clearance
    • CISSP or other Security related Certifications preferred

  • Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO)

    ****MUST HAVE CURRENT TOP SECRET CLEARANCE****

    JSS, Inc. currently has a need for multiple ISSO's to support our FBI Contract in Washington, DC. The following is a list of required skills:

    Position Description:

    The ISSOs are responsible for implementing and following FBI and Federal information assurance policies and guidelines for securing FBI information systems. These duties include but are not limited to: ensuring all Information System’s (IS)s are operated, maintained, and disposed of in accordance with security policies and practices outlined in the FBI’s Information System Security Assessment (ISSA) Handbook (previously known as FBI’s Certification and Accreditation Handbook); ensure that all users have the requisite security clearances, authorization, and need-to-know, and are aware of their security responsibilities before they are granted access to the IS; initiate protective and corrective measures when a security incident or vulnerability is discovered; monitor system recovery processes and ensure the proper restoration of an IS security features; ensure Configuration Management (CM) for security-relevant IS software, hardware, and firmware is documented and maintained; support certification activities throughout the ISSA process (previously known as Certification and Accreditation process); ensure that system security requirements are complied with, unless waived during all phases of the system lifecycle; establish audit trails and ensure their review, and make them available, when required, to the Chief Security Officer (CSO) or the Information System Security Manager (ISSM); retain audit logs in accordance with Department of Justice (DOJ), Office of Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) and/or FBI policy; ensure awareness and precautionary measures are exercised to prevent introduction and/or proliferation of malicious code; manage review and release of media and/or memory components.

    These ISSO must have a solid technical foundation as well practical and programmatic overall security experience, have a valid Top Secret, be able to obtain SCI, and meet the following qualifications:

    • CISSP, CISM, CAP or GSLC required
    • Top Secret clearance required (with SCI preferred) or must be able to obtain SCI
    • Excellent customer service
    • Experience using scanning tools/devices

    Preferred Experience:

    • FISMA experience
    • NIST experience
    • C&A experience
    • Risk assessment experience, especially with NIST 800-30 Threat identification, system security categorization, gap analysis, compliance reporting
    • Security analysis experience, especially trend analysis, incident response, encryption
    • Security assessment experience doing vulnerability scanning, penetration testing, system hardening, system integration, packet sniffing
    • Software development experience a plus given the unit supporting
    • Must be able to apply and validate patches
    • Develop, track, create and manage POA&Ms
    • Able to handle site accreditation
    • Operational security experience a definite plus
    • Security plan knowledge and creation experience a definite plus
    • Knowledge of and experience with quality assurance and continuous monitoring
    • Experience working in SCIF a plus
    • Knowledge of INFOSEC Assessment Methodology/Evaluation Methodology (NSA IAM/NSA IEM)
    • Contribute to the accuracy and efficiency of analysis operations through technical innovation, procedural refinement, training of analysts and analyst oversight.
    • Accountable for the real-time analysis, commentary and handling of security events
    • Demonstrate the analysis system and analyst capabilities
